New reporting from 13News Now reveals that GOP candidate and geriatric nurse Jen Kiggans is refusing to withdraw her endorsement of a local candidate being sued by her family and investigated by police for elder abuse.
Last week, it was reported that Amanda Newins, a Republican Chesapeake City Council candidate, is being sued by her family and investigated by police for elder abuse. Newins lost support from countless Republican officials – but not Jen Kiggans, who has refused to answer questions from multiple news outlets and remains stalwart in her support. Kiggans donated to Newins’ campaign in July.
