Jen Kiggans Voted Against Lowering Health Care Costs. Now Virginians Are “Stranded.”

Virginian-Pilot: The end of ACA tax credits leaves some Virginians stranded

Virginians are paying more or going without health care entirely because of vulnerable Republican Congressman Jen Kiggans.

In January, Kiggans voted against lowering health care costs by opposing an extension of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits.

Now, Virginians who receive health care through the exchange are paying on average up to 75% more per month for health insurance” as a direct result of Kiggans’ vote. Last month, “36,000 people canceled their insurance through Virginia’s Insurance Marketplace.”

DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Jen Kiggans is directly responsible for jacking up costs and kicking Virginians off their health insurance. She won’t be able to outrun her record in November.”
