| This week, vulnerable Republican Congresswoman Jen Kiggans voted against stopping Donald Trump’s reckless war in Iran that is costing billions of dollars, putting troops in harm’s way, and spiking prices at the gas pump for Virginia families.
When asked by WTKR News 3 about her vote, Kiggans refused to comment:
“News 3 reached out to Virginia Congresswoman Jen Kiggans for comment on the House passing the resolution. Kiggans, who represents part of Hampton Roads, voted against it. Her office did [not] respond by the deadline for this story.”
REMINDER: The Virginia Mercury uncovered audio of Kiggans saying that she “couldn’t be a stauncher supporter” of the war in Iran even as gas prices skyrocket across Virginia. The audio also revealed Kiggans is more concerned about her own reelection than she is about Virginia families, saying: “We need that to come down before the midterms.” And Kiggans was caught scrubbing her website of mentions of gas prices and inflation as she votes to allow costs to skyrocket.
DCCC Spokesperson Eli Cousin:
“Jen Kiggans lied to Virginians when she promised she would lower costs, and now she is trying to dodge accountability for her own votes. Kiggans sides with Trump 100% of the time and refuses to answer questions about her cost-spiking votes. Virginians deserve so much better.” |
