Over the past week, the National Right to Life political action group rolled out a slate of endorsements to multiple anti-choice Republicans, including extremist Jennifer-Ruth Green. This radical group knows they have an ally in Green, who has called for an extreme nationwide ban on all abortions with no exceptions for rape, incest, or to save the life of the mother.
National Right to Life has been working for decades to rip reproductive rights away from millions of Americans. The work of this group helped overturn Roe v. Wade, which forced an Ohio 10-year-old to travel to Indiana to receive an abortion. The group’s lawyer, Jim Bopp, even claimed the young girl may see “the benefit of having the child,” as she would be forced to do under the group’s model legislation.
DCCC Spokesperson Helen Kalla:
“National Right to Life endorsed Jennifer-Ruth Green because they know she would work to enact their dystopian mission: force women and girls to have their rapist’s child or let women die rather than get the life-saving care they need. Jennifer-Ruth Green is far too extreme for northwest Indiana, and voters will reject her radical views this November.”
