Report indicates that New Jersey millionaire John Chrin is shopping for a new district to run in after getting shellacked by Matt Cartwright
After dropping more than $2 million of his fortune on a losing Congressional campaign in a district he had parachuted in to, Wall Street banker Jersey John Chrin is at it again, and is hunting for a new place to run, according to a recent report.
It’s no surprise that Chrin isn’t exactly spoiling for a rematch after losing handily to Cartwright, but what’s surprising is that Chrin thinks his record – of supporting Washington Republicans’ attempts to roll back the ACA, and promoting the GOP’s big tax cut for millionaires like himself while putting Social Security and Medicare at risk – would play better anywhere else.
“After Jersey John Chrin spent millions from his Wall Street fortune losing last year, you would think he would realize that Pennsylvanians don’t want an out-of-touch carpetbagger representing them in Congress, but now he’s shopping around for a new district,” said DCCC spokesperson Mike Gwin. “Jersey John may be able to buy some more houses so he can move to a new district, but it’s clear that Pennsylvanians won’t let him buy a seat in Congress.”
