Yesterday, the NRCC released a statement wrongfully attacking Hillary Scholten’s record of fighting for justice and enforcing our nation’s immigration laws at the Department of Justice.
MAGA extremist John Gibbs has repeatedly pushed the Big Lie that the election was stolen, downplayed the deadly violence on January 6th, and sided with the insurrectionists despite the fact that 140 police officers were injured defending the Capitol and five lost their lives. Gibbs’ dangerous and extreme views are a stark contrast to Scholten’s record of upholding the rule of law.

“There’s only one person in this race who fights to uphold our nation’s laws, and it’s Hillary Scholten. John Gibbs has been on the record time and time again siding with violent rioters over law enforcement. He continues to downplay the deaths of 5 law enforcement officers and the injuries of hundreds of others. He’s proud to stand with those who break our nation’s laws and doesn’t think they should face consequences. Hillary Scholten knows that no one is above the law and will always protect and defend our sacred Constitution when she represents West Michigan in Congress.”
