MI-03 candidate and MAGA extremist John Gibbs is once again confirming that he’s out of touch with West Michigan. In an interview on Real America’s Voice, Gibbs claimed women’s rights and Social Security were not “real issues” voters care about.
It’s no wonder why Gibbs doesn’t want to talk about women’s rights and Social Security: his positions are toxic and wildly out of step with West Michigan voters. Gibbs once argued that America had “suffered” because women gained the right to vote and said women did not have the “characteristics necessary to govern.” On the campaign trail, he has touted his extreme anti-abortion stance, even claiming the overturning of Roe v. Wade was “great news for women.” Gibbs even praised a plan that called for Social Security to be “terminated” entirely, ripping away the hard-earned benefits West Michiganders have worked for. Gibbs would be a rubber stamp for his party’s extremist agenda that threatens Social Security and Medicare.
