A List of Dumb Things Jolly Now Wishes He Hadn’t Done
- Folly #1). Betray Republicans: Oops! The NRCC has been making continuous updates to their Young Gun and Patriot Program, but who got left behind? David Jolly. National Republicans still don’t believe Jolly has a shot in hell at winning this district and because of his betrayal, they won’t lift a finger in his direction.
- Folly #2). Praise Donald Trump: David Jolly had no problem using Trump for his own personal gain while trying to run to the right in a statewide primary – he once sent out an email comparing himself to Trump and saying that they “speak out honestly and with conviction.” Now that Jolly is running in a safe Democratic district, he really wishes he could take this back, but there is one problem – people heard him.
- Folly #3). Introduce the Stop Act: Without the help of his party in safe blue district, Jolly is forced to be a hypocrite and walk back his own standards. Just months after introducing a bill to prevent members of Congress from personally soliciting funds, he actually appeared at his first fundraiser – in-person. Now Jolly has to spend the next two months undermining the spirit of his bill in order to raise the money he desperately needs to mount any serious effort.
