JONATHAN NEZ RAISES $1 MILLION IN Q1 TO TAKE ON ELI CRANE IN AZ-02

GOP leaders increasingly worried about Arizona’s Second Congressional District, reporting shows

In case you missed it: Former Navajo Nation President Jonathan Nez announced raising $1 million in the first quarter of 2026, a stunning haul that shows Eli Crane is more vulnerable than ever.

Nez’s fundraising surge comes as reporting shows GOP leaders are increasingly worried about Crane’s seat. Crane got nearly $600,000 from DC party bosses – “a first for the far-right congressman.” Crane is especially vulnerable this cycle after voting to gut health care to pay for tax cuts for billionaires, a move that could shutter at least three hospitals in the Second Congressional District.

In February, President Nez was added to the DCCC’s Red to Blue list, a highly competitive and battle-tested DCCC program that arms top-tier candidates with organizational and fundraising support to help them continue building winning campaigns.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Arizonans are tired of Eli Crane jacking up their costs, slashing their health care, and selling out our veterans. They’re fired up to elect Jonathan Nez because they know he will actually fight for them.”
