Jones Defends Trump After Immigration Speech
Donald Trump delivered a speech in Arizona last night demonstrating he’s as anti-immigrant as he was the first day of his campaign. Which is fine by Scott Jones, who today reiterated his support for a radical immigration policy including a border wall and blamed a “porous border” for creating “victims all over the state, all over this country in every state.”
Jones’ hateful rhetoric is not new. The Trump supporter previously said undocumented immigrants “commit murders, sexual assaults, kidnaps, thefts, [and] engage in violent gang activity” and even traveled to DC to speak at an anti-immigrant hate group event with the one and only Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
“Donald Trump can count on Scott Jones to back up his radical immigration plan because Jones is on the same hateful page,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “Jones and Trump are too dangerous a combination to represent Sacramento County.”
