Today, Juan Ciscomani and David Schweikert elected Rep. Mike Johnson to be the next Speaker of the House. After voting three separate times for Jim Jordan, Schweikert and Ciscomani went all in for Johnson and his extremism:
In case you haven’t heard of him, here’s a bit about Mike Johnson:
- Johnson pushed for a total abortion ban without exceptions and voted for legislation to punish doctors for providing essential reproductive care.
- Johnson served as the chair of the Republican Study Committee, leading their efforts to slash Social Security and Medicare.
- Johnson was instrumental in the plan to overturn the 2020 election – the New York Times named him “the most important architect of the Electoral College objections.”
Juan Ciscomani and David Schweikert have abandoned Arizona’s middle-class families, instead siding with election deniers, anti-abortion zealots, and relentless attacks on Social Security and Medicare.
