| Small businesses in Arizona are reeling after Juan Ciscomani voted nine separate times to rubber-stamp Trump’s chaotic, cost-spiking tariffs — including tariffs on Arizona’s top trading partner, Mexico.
Most recently, Ciscomani voted AGAINST rolling back tariffs that raise food costs – a devastating blow to families, restaurants, and other small businesses.
Now, a Southern Arizona restaurant is struggling to get by as the 25% tariff on Mexico makes tomato prices soar.
While Ciscomani chooses to blindly bend the knee to his party bosses, workers at Comida del Barrio are wondering how their business will get by: “Every plate has tomato, so now imagine how much that is costing us.”
And rising tomato prices are just the tip of the iceberg as more small businesses across the state get crushed by rising costs, and hardworking families are forced to shell out an extra $2,500 on average.
DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:
“Juan Ciscomani has no problem bending the knee to his party bosses at the direct expense of Arizona businesses and families. From blowing up ties with his state’s largest trade partner to running local restaurants into the ground, Ciscomani is doing irreversible damage to his Southern Arizona, and it will cost him his seat in November.”
