Just Over 30 Days from the Midterms, DCCC Announces Eight New Districts to Our Offensive House Battlefield

With Republicans on defense, House Democrats add offensive opportunities in Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, New Jersey, Texas, Oklahoma, and Virginia

The DCCC is unveiling 8 new offensive additions to House Democrats’ Districts in Play. These additional districts, which brings the DCCC deep into traditional Republican territory, brings the total number of Districts in Play to 66, nearly double what the DCCC ended the 2024 cycle with.

This expansion is further pushing House Republicans back on their heels. The number of vulnerable incumbents is growing and they’re being forced to divert resources to traditionally deep-red districts. Their defensive spending comes after Democratic voter participation outpaced Republican turnout in primaries by over 3.5 million votes and with early voting already showing signs of Democrats having a clear advantage among voters turning out to vote.

Simply put, Democrats are poised to win big in November.

“Almost one month out from the November election, Democrats are continuing to expand the midterm map into deep red territory as Republicans run scared,” said DCCC Chair Rep. Suzan DelBene. “Democrats are poised to win the House Majority in November because voters are fed up with Republicans’ broken promises while Democrats are focused on lowering costs, tackling corruption, and making life easier for hardworking families.”
