Last night, voters in red state Kansas resoundingly voted to protect their access to abortion.
Don’t tell the National Republican Campaign Committee in charge of electing GOP House candidates, who have repeatedly downplayed the idea that taking away basic rights for half of the country’s population will have an impact on the 2022 election.
This is a warning to every single GOP congressional candidate running in North Carolina, who have all staked out some of the most extreme, dangerous positions possible on abortion. Republicans Sandy Smith in NC-01 and Bo Hines in NC-13 want to ban abortion with NO exceptions – not even if it would save the life of the pregnant woman. Christian Castelli in NC-06 and Pat Harrigan in NC-14 are right there with them in wanting to make abortion illegal.
