Anti-fashion icon, far-right goon, former advisor to Trump and a fugitive Chinese billionaire, and one of the House GOP’s favorite podcast hosts turned himself in to the FBI yesterday after a grand jury indicted him for contempt of Congress.
Bannon, who is refusing to speak to the House Select Committee focused on investigating January 6th, is alleged to have helped run a “command center” out of the Willard Hotel before the storming of the Capitol on January 6th.
Bannon has hosted scores of GOP candidates and officeholders this year on his unhinged podcast, but in New Hampshire’s competitive NH-01 primary he has a favorite, Karoline Leavitt. In July, Bannon hosted Leavitt as she claimed Trump “absolutely” won the election in 2020. Just last week, she joined the show and received glowing praise from Bannon as she called for retribution against Republican members of the House who supported the bipartisan infrastructure bill (her campaign team has since made the video private).
