Katko’s All In: Trump Ally Headlines Fundraiser for Vulnerable Republican

Scandal-Ridden Trump Ally Devin Nunes Heads to CNY to Fill Katko’s Campaign Coffers

Rep. John Katko recently endorsed Donald Trump, a move that one reporter said marked a “dramatic shift in his previous efforts to distance himself from the president.”

Now, Katko’s highlighting that shift by bringing scandal-ridden Trump enthusiast Rep. Devin Nunes (R-California) to Central New York to headline a high-dollar fundraiser.

Nunes, who made a name for himself interfering in the Russia investigation and suing an internet cow, has been repeatedly accused of abusing his position in order to do Trump’s political dirty work. Most recently, Nunes wasted $57,000 in taxpayer dollars digging up dirt on Trump’s political rivals alongside indicted Giuliani-associate Lev Parnas—while sitting on the very committee investigating Trump’s attempts to coerce foreign governments to interfere in American elections.

REMINDER: John Katko received over $2000 in campaign contributions from Parnas’ indicted business partner Igor Fruman and was forced to get rid of the cash after news broke that Parnas and Fruman violated campaign finance laws.

Katko’s connections to corruption are starting to pile up. The plot thickens…

“It’s clear Congressman Katko has no qualms benefitting from the shady characters surrounding Donald Trump’s campaign and scandals,” said DCCC Spokesperson Christine Bennett. “Between endorsing Trump’s reelection bid and raising big bucks with a scandal-plagued colleague in Nunes, it’s clear Katko’s all in with Trump and the corrupt GOP.”
