Kelly Townsend in AZ-06: “We’re All Trying Very Hard to Suppress the Vote”

As Arizona Republicans say the quiet part out loud, where does Juan Ciscomani stand?

GOP candidate Kelly Townsend in AZ-06, an outspoken supporter of Trump’s Big Lie who has sponsored 24 bills that “propose significant and often restrictive changes to Arizona’s election system” could not make her legislative motives any clearer.

Last week, Townsend professed on the Arizona Senate floor:

“We’re all trying very hard to suppress the vote – the, uh, the cheaters – you know? Depending on who you ask. But what’s what’s it matter? What does it even matter?“

In this Freudian slip is the grain of truth: Townsend seeks to suppress and dismiss the will of Arizona voters, and she’s pushing laws to make it harder than ever for Arizonans to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

Will Townsend’s primary opponent, Juan Ciscomani, condemn these laws seeking to suppress Arizona voters? Or is he too concerned with garnering support from the most extreme wing of the Republican Party?

DCCC Spokesperson Monica Robinson
“Kelly Townsend said the quiet part out loud: These Republican anti-voting laws are designed to suppress voters and make it harder for Arizonans to cast their ballot. Arizonans deserve to know if Juan Ciscomani supports Kelly Townsend’s laws that blatantly aim to suppress voters.”
