Last week, OH-13 Republican candidate Kevin Coughlin voiced his support for a Republican-manufactured government shutdown that would endanger U.S. national security, undermine the economy, and harm millions of working families and service members.
According to Coughlin, Republicans “need to be people of action” … by halting government action and endangering American families. If MAGA Republicans follow his lead with a government shutdown:

Approximately 11,296 people, including 2,756 infants and 5,860 children, in OH-13 would lose vital nutritional services.

34,063 service members in Ohio could be forced to go without pay.

The Small Business Administration would stop processing small business loans, halting a program that provides $13 billion in funding to small businesses every year.

“Kevin Coughlin’s plan to shut down the government would be devastating for veterans, service members, small business owners, and middle-class families across Northeast Ohio. He is nothing more than another dangerous career politician who is willing to play games with peoples’ livelihoods.”
