Engel outraised Ciscomani by nearly half a million dollars
Kirsten Engel is continuing to build momentum, hauling in $1.2 million in the first quarter of 2024 in her campaign to replace vulnerable Arizona Republican Juan Ciscomani in Congress.
The seven-figure cash haul – higher than any Arizona congressional candidate has raised in the first quarter of an election year – once again demonstrates Engels’ success in connecting with voters across Arizona.
In response to the increased momentum, Engel said, “Southern Arizonans have had enough of extremists like Juan Ciscomani, who are more concerned with answering to his party bosses than serving our community. He is failing us.”
Engel’s impressive numbers come as Ciscomani is struggling to hide from his anti-abortion record in light of Arizona’s 1864 abortion ban slated to go into effect. Ciscomani is rightfully getting called out by national and state press for supporting nationwide restrictions to abortion medication.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“The proof is in the numbers: Arizona voters are ready for hypocrite and anti-abortion zealot Juan Ciscomani to go, and they know Kirsten Engel is the right leader to bring true representation back to Southern Arizona.”
