Knight Votes (Again) to Limit Victims’ Ability to Seek Justice

Knight Voted “Yes” on Bill That Puts Corporations Before People

Valencia, Calif. – The Aliso Canyon gas leak is finally plugged, but families in Porter Ranch will feel the damaging effects of the worst natural gas leak in U.S. history for years to come. Instead of standing up for victims of corporate wrongdoing, today Knight chose once again to limit their ability to seek justice.

The vulnerable Congressman demonstrated unbelievable negligence by not appearing in public to address the disaster until months after the leak began. The career politician was too busy voting in Washington to make it harder for victims of corporate wrongdoing, like the residents of Porter Ranch, to seek justice. That’s why it’s not surprising that today Knight voted in favor of yet another bill that puts corporations before people.

“Career politician Steve Knight proved once again how out of touch he is by siding with corporations and limiting victims’ ability to seek justice,” said Barb Solish of the DCCC. “The hardworking people in the 25th district deserve a representative who will always put them first.”
