Too Late for McSally to distance herself from Trump
McSally has refused to denounce Trump’s candidacy
Republicans just woke up to a harsh reality: Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s nominee. If Congresswoman McSally (or more likely her handlers knowing her lack of accessibility to the public) attempts to separate herself from Trump, remember that she has repeatedly refused to denounce Trump’s divisive candidacy. The writing is on the wall: the Republican Party is falling apart, and with it, McSally’s reelection chances.
- Trump said women should be punished for undergoing legal abortions; Mcsally was voting repeatedly to cut Planned Parenthood funding and create restrictions on choice.
- Trump called Mexicans rapists; McSally is fighting to dismantle DACA and DAPA even though an estimated 60,000 eligible voters in Arizona have a family member who is impacted by DAPA.
- Trump refuses to release his taxes; McSally has repeatedly and inexplicably failed to disclose full information about her donors.
- Trump disdains a free press and insults reporters; McSally has a well-covered history of shunning local press.
- Trump flips his positions at a dizzying speed; McSally is “notoriously slippery on her positions.”
- Trump lacks an understanding of key issues; McSally has been repeatedly exposed for lacking “command of political issues” and her reluctance “to take solid stances on current issues.”
“After failing to disavow Donald Trump’s disturbing attacks on women, minorities, and people with disabilities, Congresswoman McSally will have to face the consequences of sharing a ballot with Trump,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law. “No matter how desperately Mcsally tries to spin her indefensible support of Trump, it’s too little too late for her to run away from the top-of-ticket.”
