Too Late for Rod Blum to distance himself from Trump
Blum has praised Trump & has refused to denounce his disturbing rhetoric
Republicans just woke up to a harsh reality: Donald Trump is the Republican Party’s nominee. There’s little doubt that the Republican Party is falling apart, and with it, Congressman Blum’s reelection chances. Okay, Blum was in really bad shape before Trump but this certainly doesn’t help.
Last year, Congressman Blum appeared to compare himself to Trump and noted his ability to tap into a “pride in the country.”
His repeated embrace of Trump’s candidacy and refusal to denounce his vile rhetoric clarifies that he will almost certainly be supporting Trump in November.
“After failing to disavow Donald Trump’s disturbing attacks on war heroes, women, minorities, and the disabled, Congressman Blum will have to face the consequences of sharing a ballot with Trump,” said DCCC Spokesman Tyler Law.
