LATEST ANALYSIS: 342,000+ Arizonans Would Lose Health Care Under Schweikert, Crane, Ciscomani Plan

Bipartisan analysis shows that Republican plan to fund tax breaks for billionaires would kick more than 342,000 Arizonans off their health insurance

New data from the bipartisan Joint Economic Committee shows just how devastating David Schweikert, Eli Crane, and Juan Ciscomani’s plan to gut health care would be for Arizona families.

More than 342,000 Arizonans would be kicked off their insurance if Schweikert, Crane, and Ciscomani’s Tax Scam becomes law, including:

  • 31,401 individuals in Schweikert’s district, 18,800 of whom would lose Affordable Care Act coverage and 12,601 of whom would lose Medicaid coverage.
  • 41,814 individuals in Crane’s district, 15,800 of whom would lose ACA coverage and 26,014 of whom would lose Medicaid coverage.
  • 31,925 individuals in Ciscomani’s district, 15,000 of whom would lose ACA coverage and 16,925 of whom would lose Medicaid coverage.

DCCC Spokesperson Lindsay Reilly:

“Kicking more than 342,000 Arizonans off their insurance would have devastating consequences for patients, providers, and hospitals across the state. Instead of fighting to lower prices, David Schweikert, Eli Crane, and Juan Ciscomani chose to hike health care costs for everyone. Voters aren’t going to forget that Schweikert, Crane, and Ciscomani sold them out to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.”
