Though House Republicans claim their chaos is done, a glaring question still causes confusion and consternation in their ranks: What to do with serial liar and international criminal George Santos?
New reporting from Politico suggests that House Republicans are currently torn over whether or not Santos deserves committee assignments, with members concerned that it would be “very difficult to work with anyone who cannot be trusted.”
If Santos fails to receive any committee assignments, he will be unable to provide New York’s 3rd district with any useful or meaningful representation in Congress.
DCCC Spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“When a group as corrupt and unorganized as the House Republican Conference suggests you don’t deserve committee assignments, you know it’s serious. Long Islanders deserve real representation, not a fraud like George Santos.”
