Earlier this week, Lauren Boebert signed onto an amicus brief urging an appeals court to uphold the decision of the federal judge in Texas who sought to overturn the FDA’s approval of mifepristone, a safe and widely used abortion medication – a decision that represents the latest step in the Republicans’ crusade to ban abortion nationwide.
Against Boebert’s wishes, the appeals court ruled last night that the lifesaving medication must remain in effect for the time being, but with limits and restrictions.
If Boebert had her way, women nationwide would not have access to the safe treatment they once had.
DCCC spokesperson Tommy Garcia:
“Lauren Boebert believes she and a judge in Texas with zero medical expertise know better than individual women about what to do with their bodies. Lauren Boebert continues to show Colorado voters that she will not stop her crusade against reproductive freedom until abortion is banned nationwide.”
