Laurie Buckhout is proudly owning her MAGA extremism. Last week she enthusiastically accepted Donald Trump’s endorsement, despite his dangerous record on health care and veterans.
As a reminder, Trump remains an active threat to North Carolinians:
Trump wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, jeopardizing access to health care for the more than one million North Carolinians currently enrolled in its plans. Repealing the ACA would expose more than 1,700,000 North Carolinians with pre-existing conditions to loss of coverage.
When Democrats and Republicans came together to introduce a bipartisan border security bill that was endorsed by the Border Patrol Union, Trump gave the marching orders to kill the bill for his own political gains.
Trump famously bragged about his role in stripping away women’s health care and overturning Roe v. Wade, calling it a “miracle.”
Trump said he wants to let states monitor women’s pregnancies so they can know if they’ve gotten an abortion.
DCCC Spokesperson Lauryn Fanguen:
“Laurie Buckhout is showing North Carolinians exactly who she is and how she will embrace the extreme MAGA agenda if elected to Congress. It’s crystal clear that voters can’t trust her to advocate for them – she’d be too busy taking away their health care, playing politics with the border, and disappointing military families and veterans.”
