| Earlier this year Laurie Buckhout bragged about how Republicans were delivering low gas prices.
Now, she just wishes North Carolina voters would shut up about the cost of gas. Just days ago on a local radio show, Buckhout whined about voters’ memories being all about “driving by a gas pump” and called voters’ pain “transitory.”
Gas in North Carolina is more than $4 per gallon, up more than $1 in the last year causing even more strain for working families and small business owners across NC-01.
This isn’t the first time Buckhout has said she didn’t care about the issues facing Eastern North Carolina. Last month, Buckhout was begging people to stop talking about the economy and said that high gas prices were “definitely worth it.”
DCCC Spokesperson Madison Andrus:
“Laurie Buckhout’s October message to North Carolina voters: ‘Please shut up.’ Buckhout clearly has no idea what working families in NC-01 are going through – and she has no desire to find out.” |
