For someone who purports to be about law and order, Carlos Giménez has really struggled to rise above his own hypocrisy.
Over the past two weeks, Giménez has refused to say whether the January 6 assault on the Capitol was “legitimate political discourse” and show support for law enforcement prosecuting those responsible.
Late last week, his son struck an unsuspecting City of Miami commissioner, landing himself in jail.
Now, Carlos wants to take it easy on gun-toting lawbreakers in airports across the country, even as incidents continue to rise and airports call for better enforcement of federal regulations which make carrying a gun in your carry-on a crime.
DCCC Spokesperson Abel Iraola
“Carlos Giménez has refused to condemn his party calling the violent attack on the Capitol ‘legitimate political discourse’, refused to condemn the assault on an elected official carried out by his own son, and now wants to take it easy on people illegally bringing guns into airports. All that Republicans like Carlos have to show for ‘law and order’ is hypocrisy and chaos.”
