It’s been two weeks since the Republican National Committee declared the January 6th attack on our democracy “legitimate political discourse.”
It’s simple: Do IL-13 Republican candidates Jesse Reising, Regan Deering, and Matt Hausman agree that a violent insurrection at the Capitol was legitimate political discourse, or do they stand with law enforcement as they continue to investigate and prosecute those who took part?
“Central and Southern Illinoisans deserve to know: do Jesse Reising, Regan Deering, and Matt Hausman agree with their party leaders that a lawless, violent insurrection to overturn the election was ‘legitimate political discourse’?” said DCCC spokesperson Elena Kuhn. “If Reising, Deering, and Hausman can’t answer this question, they have no business running for Congress.”
