Today, the DCCC announced a Spanish-language radio airing in Miami this week, showing voters are turning away from Congressman Carlos Curbelo because he says one thing in South Florida, but does another when he’s in Washington. The ad features Krystian, a voter who supported Curbelo last election, but after having learned that Curbelo votes with Trump 85% of the time and voted for the trillion-dollar tax cut to the wealthy and major corporations that threatens Medicare and Social Security funding, he’s now supporting Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. He urges other Miami voters to join him in voting for Debbie because she’s fighting for working families.

“Carlos Curbelo votes with Trump 85% of the time and he voted with his party to increase Floridians’ health care costs, demonstrating that he is not the independent Congressman he claims to be,” said Javier Gamboa of the DCCC. “Congressman Carlos Curbelo has betrayed his community and will continue to vote in lockstep with Washington Republicans and Trump.
