| While Central Valley families grapple with record-high cost of groceries increasing the price of their 4th of July celebrations by nearly 10%, David Valadao and his fellow House Republicans are getting a head start on their taxpayer funded vacations, complete with “big lobster tails” and “nice ribeyes.”
Valadao and House Republicans are skipping town and leaving work early after failing to address skyrocketing gas prices across the country. In California, gas is still over $1.20 more expensive per gallon than at the beginning of the year.
Still, Valadao and his fellow House Republicans are “okay with the increase in fuel [prices]” and living the good life on their taxpayer funded salaries because “60% of Americans don’t work as hard” as they do.
DCCC Spokesperson Anna Elsasser:
“While David Valadao and his fellow House Republicans are daydreaming about their luxurious vacations, Central Valley families are worrying about how to put food on the table and fill up their gas tank to get to work in the morning. Valadao should enjoy his undeserved vacation while he can because he knows that Central Valley voters are going to vote him out and send Randy Villegas to Congress this November.” |
