House Republicans – following Donald Trump’s lead – are refusing to send a bipartisan housing affordability bill to the President’s desk.
The debacle over the bipartisan housing bill is the latest example of Republicans’ broken promises to lower the cost of living – and the latest reminder that House Republicans don’t care about making life better for everyday Americans.
The overwhelmingly bipartisan bill is the most significant piece of housing legislation to be passed this year, removing unnecessary regulations, banning large corporate investors from hoarding single-family homes, and enhancing community lending programs. Despite this, Donald Trump is sabotaging common-sense, bipartisan policy and refusing to sign the package into law like a petulant child.
Incapable of standing up to Donald Trump, the so-called GOP moderates are just running away.
DCCC Spokesperson Justin Chermol:
“House Republicans are a complete and total failure. They have broken every campaign promise made to the American people in 2024, and will lose the majority decisively in November.” |
