Today, the NRCC announced a new crop of extreme candidates added to their “Young Guns” program, including election denier Erik Aadland. The NRCC’s endorsement comes just a day after FiveThirtyEight broke the latest development in Erik Aadland’s election-denying saga.
National Republicans continue to prove they are working against democracy. Their elevation of Erik Aadland, even after FiveThirtyEight reported his clear attempt to deceive Colorado voters on his election-denying beliefs, shows a blatant disregard for American democracy.
“The NRCC can’t help but elevate election deniers like Erik Aadland,” said DCCC Spokesperson Maddy Mundy. “The move shows the GOP’s disregard for democracy and the voters of Colorado’s 7th district, who deserve a representative who will stand up for their sacred vote.”
