MAGA Republicans’ Project 2025 Would Be Detrimental To Latinos

MAGA Republicans’ unpopular Project 2025 would raise costs, take away health care access, restrict abortion, limit educational opportunities, and undermine our democracy.

It’s no wonder that Latino voters reject this agenda; with 71 percent of Latinos opposing MAGA Republicans’ Project 2025 after learning more about its policies.

Here are just *some* of the ways Project 2025 would be detrimental to Latinos: 

• Raises taxes on millions of hardworking families including Latinos

• Threatens overtime pay for over 4.3 million people

• Proposes eliminating protections against dangerous work for minors during a time when migrant children already face dangerous conditions

• Calls to dismantle the Department of Education

• Eliminates Head Start which would disproportionately impact Latino children

• Raises costs for families and students struggling with high education prices

• Makes prescription medication more expensive and raising costs on workers by putting a new tax on health insurance for millions of people who get insurance through their employer

• Raises costs for Seniors on Medicare by repealing the out-of-pocket cap

• Limits benefits for disabled veterans – of which 18% are Latino– by allowing fewer health conditions to qualify for disability benefits

• Restricts access to medication abortion, which impacts the 26% of Latinas who live in a state that bans or restricts abortion

• Makes it easier for extremists to access private medical information about women’s reproductive care

• Increases the threat of prosecution for abortion care

• Gives Donald Trump the ability to be a “dictator on day one” by pursuing revenge on his political enemies

• Strips the Department of Justice of its independent authority, instead to be used as a tool of the president

• Fires hardworking civil servants and replacing them MAGA loyalists
