Marc Molinaro Campaigns with MAGA Mike Johnson to Rip Health Care Away From Millions

Today, vulnerable New York Republican Marc Molinaro is with MAGA Speaker Mike Johnson after recent reporting revealed that Johnson and House Republicans are planning on obliterating the Affordable Care Act if President Trump is elected in November.

Specifically, Johnson was asked if health care was a part of the agenda for House Republicans’ first hundred days:

“No Obamacare?” one attendee asked Johnson, referring to the law Democrats passed in 2010, also known as the Affordable Care Act.

“No Obamacare,” Johnson responded, rolling his eyes. “The ACA is so deeply ingrained, we need massive reform to make this work and we got a lot of ideas on how to do that.”

If Molinaro, Johnson, and House Republicans had their way, roughly 20 million Americans could see costs increase by hundreds or thousands of dollars, and approximately 40 million people would be at risk of losing their health insurance altogether.

It’s not the first time Molinaro has cozied up with opponents of affordable, accessible health care. Before he played a “pivotal role” in electing Johnson as Speaker, Molinaro twice voted for Jim Jordan for the position – even after he acted as the “architect” of a government shutdown over the ACA – and recently brought him to Broome County to campaign for him.

DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Take it from Mike Johnson himself, the choice before Upstate New Yorkers is clear: Josh Riley will fight to lower health costs and expand access to affordable health care, while Marc Molinaro will raise the cost of medicine and deny health insurance to millions of Americans.”
