Marc Molinaro Shrugs Off Trump’s Seditious Insurrection

Extreme New York Republican Marc Molinaro recently shrugged and refused to say whether he would support Trump in 2024 after being asked directly about the defeated former president’s direct role in the events of the deadly January 6th insurrection and his attempt to overturn the 2020 election.

“Asked if, having seen the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, [2021], after Trump’s loss in the 2020 election, and after hearing recordings of Trump’s alleged attempt to subvert his loss in Georgia, he could support the former president were he to become the 2024 Republican nominee, Molinaro shrugged.”

This isn’t the first time the increasingly vulnerable Republican has kowtowed to his extreme Republican leadership.

In Congress, Molinaro votes with MAGA extremists Kevin McCarthy and Marjorie Taylor Greene 92% and 83% of the time, respectively – taking their lead on voting to protect federally-indicted George Santos, abandoning campaign promises by passing abortion restrictions nationally for servicemembers and their families, and refusing to sign on to efforts to pass common-sense background check bills.

Extremist Speaker Kevin McCarthy recently rewarded Molinaro’s obedience by padding his campaign coffers at a private event in the Catskills.

DCCC Spokesperson Ellie Dougherty:
“Marc Molinaro’s indifference to Trump’s seditious and fatal insurrection proves his loyalty to MAGA extremists over New Yorkers. His lackluster response still begs the question: will Marc Molinaro vote for Trump in 2024?”
