Marc Molinaro Votes to Allow Offshore Drilling in New York

Molinaro is threatening New York’s coastal communities to please Big Oil

Last night, Rep. Marc Molinaro voted against a bipartisan amendment that would block new oil and gas leasing in any tract located off the coast of New York.

Molinaro’s decision to side with Big Oil comes at serious risk to his own state’s coastal communities, economy, and environment.

The bipartisan amendment, introduced by Rep. David Cicilline, would help protect New York’s shoreline from the threat of a major oil spill, which would be catastrophic for New York’s economy and environment.

DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Marc Molinaro’s blatant disregard for New York’s environment is unacceptable. Voters won’t forget how quickly he put New York at risk just to make life easier for Big Oil.”
