María Elvira Salazar and Anna Paulina Luna Do Nothing to Stop Florida From Being America’s Inflation Capital

While inflation continues to slow nationwide thanks to the hard work of President Biden and House Democrats, Florida families have been left behind because extreme MAGA Republicans like María Elvira Salazar and Anna Paulina Luna have done virtually nothing to provide economic relief for their constituents – instead, choosing to focus on culture wars and extreme party politics.

Since Rep. Salazar took office, inflation in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach metro has become the highest in the nation. An analysis of her record shows that in addition to voting against the Inflation Reduction Act:

“More than half the bills she’s filed this Session are largely concerned with foreign affairs and culture war issues.”

After promising to make inflation her “top platform” on the campaign trail, Luna has seen inflation in the Tampa-St. Pete-Clearwater metro area become nearly twice as high as the nation’s. As Florida Politics put it:

“Luna said her two major focuses upon winning office would be helping veterans and battling inflation. So far, the Air Force veteran has yet to file a single measure to do either.”

DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“María Elvira Salazar and Anna Paulina Luna continue to spout empty MAGA Republican rhetoric while ignoring the needs of the middle class families in their districts. They’re incapable of governing responsibly and their extremism will cost them their seats in 2024.”
