Republicans followed up on their plan to pass a nationwide abortion ban by introducing two bills that do just that. If Republicans win a House majority, they will pass a nationwide abortion ban, preventing women and girls in all 50 states from getting the health care they need.
As an original co-sponsor, Mariannette Miller-Meeks would be a reliable vote for Washington Republicans’ nationwide abortion ban. She even supports a bill to ban abortion nationwide with no exceptions, a dangerous position that is far out of step with Iowa voters.
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks and her fellow MAGA Republicans are on a cruel crusade against Iowa women and their reproductive freedoms,” said DCCC spokesperson Matt Corridoni. “Mariannette Miller-Meeks wants to let the federal government interfere with Iowans’ personal, private decisions.”
