As health care costs continue to skyrocket thanks to House Republicans letting ACA tax credits expire, Mariannette Miller-Meeks is hellbent on making life even more expensive for Iowans.
Miller-Meeks just voted AGAIN against a bipartisan effort to extend ACA tax credits for three years. Her vote sends the clear message that she is a threat to Iowans’ access to affordable health care.
Miller-Meeks is to blame for the 24,000 people in IA-01 who are now paying double the cost on average for their health insurance premiums without these tax credits.
The DCCC will continue holding Miller-Meeks accountable for her long record of attacking affordable health care and breaking their promise to lower costs for Iowans.
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith:
“Today’s vote is another cruel reminder that Mariannette Miller-Meeks doesn’t care about Iowans struggling to keep up with skyrocketing health care bills and is instead actively working to raise costs. Voters will remember Miller-Meeks’ betrayal at the ballot box.”
