Marking One Year Without Roe, DCCC Launches Campaign to Hold Mariannette Miller-Meeks Accountable for Anti-Abortion Extremism

One year later, vulnerable House Republicans continue their push for a national abortion ban

One year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, Mariannette Miller-Meeks has continued her assault on reproductive freedoms, despite an overwhelming 80% of Americans who oppose a national abortion ban. To highlight just how out of step Miller-Meeks is with the voters she represents, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee this week announced new, early efforts to hold Miller-Meeks accountable for her anti-abortion crusade.

The campaign in Iowa includes:

  • A new microsite, expanding upon an investment from last year that outlines Miller-Meeks’ dangerous attacks on access to reproductive health care
  • Three new digital ads, backed by four-figure buys, that will run against Mariannette Miller-Meeks and other vulnerable House Republicans:

The DCCC is making the stakes of this election crystal clear in Iowa. With this campaign and others throughout the cycle, the DCCC will continue to highlight the extreme anti-abortion positions that Mariannette Miller-Meeks has staked out.

To that end, the DCCC is distributing a fact sheet highlighting Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ dangerous positions on stripping away reproductive freedoms HERE

DCCC spokesperson Nebeyatt Betre:
“Mariannette Miller-Meeks, who is endorsed by the fervently anti-choice SBA List, will stop at nothing to ban abortion nationwide. In the earliest weeks of the MAGA majority, she voted to punish doctors for providing reproductive care. Mariannette Miller-Meeks cannot be trusted to defend Iowa womens’ fundamental rights and freedoms and, as a result, will be voted out of office in 2024.”

Earlier this week, the DCCC released a memo detailing why abortion remains a key electoral issue for 2024, which can be found HERE
