Marking One Year Without Roe, DCCC Launches Campaign to Hold Vulnerable House Republicans Accountable for Anti-Abortion Extremism

One year later, the House Republicans continue their push for a national abortion ban

One year after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, House Republicans have continued their assault on reproductive freedoms, despite an overwhelming 80% of Americans who oppose a national abortion ban. To highlight just how out of step Republicans are with the voters they represent, today, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee announced new, early efforts to educate voters and hold vulnerable House Republicans accountable for their anti-abortion crusade.

The campaign includes:

A new microsite, expanding upon an investment from last cycle that outlines Republicans’ dangerous attacks on access to reproductive health care →

Three new digital ads, each backed by a four-figure buy, that will run against all 31 of the DCCC’s offensive targets →
Example of ad running in Brandon Williams’ district

Every single vulnerable House Republican is out of step with the majority of Americans when it comes to protecting reproductive freedoms and the DCCC is making the stakes of this election crystal clear across the battlefield. With this campaign and others throughout the cycle, the DCCC will continue to highlight the extreme anti-abortion positions that these vulnerable House Republicans have staked out. DCCC Spokesperson Viet Shelton:
“Republicans want to ban abortion nationwide – it’s that simple. In the earliest weeks of their majority, they tried to pass dangerous new restrictions that would have jailed doctors and left women without critical health care, and just last week advanced restrictions on safe abortion medication. They cannot not be trusted to defend women’s freedoms and, as a result, they will lose their majority in 2024.”
