As Q2 Filings Arrive, Reminder of Rosendale’s Love Affair with Special Interests Megadonor Club For Growth
As Montanans begin to fully tune into their sole Congressional race and take stock of the candidates in the final months, voters will not forget Maryland Matt Rosendale’s long-time love affair with special interests megadonors Club For Growth who have filled his campaign coffers and propped up his failing campaign throughout the election.
Club for Growth plowed in over $5.2 million for Rosendale in his failed 2018 Senate bid…NOW they have come back to Montana for more.
This time in Montana…
- Club for Growth has bragged that they’ve raised $250,000 for Maryland Matt Rosendale’s 2020 Congressional bid…
- Club for Growth parachuted into Montana and worked to falsely qualify the Green Party for the ballot…
- Club for Growth polled the Montana GOP Primary for Rosendale BEFORE he even announced he was running…
- Club for Growth got so worried about Rosendale’s electoral chances that Rosendale brought on a former deputy finance director at the Club for Growth to become his deputy campaign manager and political director…
This is not the first time that Rosendale has been caught up in being too chummy with special interests and the DC GOP swamp. In 2018, Rosendale was caught on tape discussing illegal campaign coordination and last year Rosendale was reported to have again received illegal coordinated campaign contributions from America First Action, which was implicated in the criminal campaign finance violation case of two Rudy Giuliani associates.
Statement from DCCC Spokesperson Andy Orellana:
“When Maryland Matt Rosendale isn’t raising health care premiums and pushing junk insurance plans onto Montana families, he’s been more then eager to stuff his campaign coffers with big dollar special interests and the DC GOP swamp in order to remain competitive in a race that’s by the day increasingly become a dead heat. We eagerly anticipate Rosendale’s newest round of campaign funds being chock-full of money from big money outside special interests.”
