Maryland Matt Rosendale on Protecting the ACA and Preexisting Conditions: “What I Would Like To Do Is Wipe The Slate Clean.”

Mitch McConnell in 2017 on ACA Repeal Vote: “Wipe The Slate Clean”

Last night, as voters got their first chance to see Matt Rosendale speak to the issues Montanans care about, Rosendale ran from his record of supporting ACA repeal and overturning protections for preexisting conditions saying what he’d “like to do is wipe the slate clean.”

Sound familiar? The grim reaper of the legislative graveyard that is the Senate, Mitch McConnell in 2017 stood before the Senate and said the EXACT same thing as he attempted to repeal ACA.

Real Clear Politics – July 2017: Sen. Mitch McConnell: Senate Holding Vote To “Wipe The Slate Clean” Of Obamacare

Yikes! Maryland Matt Rosendale must think he’s still running for his 2018 failed Senate bid…

Statement from DCCC Spokesperson Andy Orellana:

“Maryland Matt Rosendale has rubberstamped double-digit premium increases, voted against Medicaid expansion for Montana’s rural communities, and supported the full repeal of the ACA including for those with pre-existing conditions like COVID-19. Clearly, he is not proud to run on his out-of-touch record so instead Rosendale repeats Mitch McConnell’s ACA repeal talking points because he has no plan to protect Montanans with preexisting conditions.”
