Missoula County Board Of Commissioners To Rosendale: “Taxpayers Shouldn’t Foot The Bill For [Your] Large Partisan Rallies.”
Maryland Matt Rosendale says he wants to serve Montana, but his record of bilking taxpayers and running for higher office six times in the last ten years tells Montana voters all they need to know. While Rosendale has been running for higher offices on Montanans’ dime, he’s also been holding campaign rallies and stiffing the taxpayers of Missoula County for the security costs of his political photo-ops.
NOW, the County and taxpayers of Missoula want their money back and don’t want to get stiffed AGAIN. This week, the Missoula County Board of Commissioners told campaigns like Rosendale’s to stop leaving the taxpayers of Missoula holding the bag for his rallies, but all they’ve heard back from Maryland Matt is silence.
Don’t forget: When he’s not rubber stamping double-digit premium increases or supporting stripping protections for public lands, Rosendale has spent over half of his career as State Auditor running for federal offices so that he can move closer to his home in Maryland. At the same time, he receives a ninety-two-thousand-dollar yearly government salary – three times the average income in Montana.
“Maryland Matt’s silence on saddling Montana’s taxpayers with his campaign’s bills is just another instance of many that shows how out of touch Rosendale really is with the lives of everyday Montana families. Montanans are looking for true independent representation in Congress, not another perpetual politician who is always looking for the next office to run for and who’s more than happy to leave Montanans holding the bag.” -DCCC Spokesperson Andy Orellana
