Matt Mowers wants Donald Trump’s support in the GOP primary – but his old boss and top supporter Governor Chris Christie visited New Hampshire to slam the former president.
Christie hammered Trump in a WMUR interview for praising Putin and in his Politics & Eggs speech this morning.
Will that help Mowers snag Trump’s key endorsement in this fraught GOP primary?
When asked if Mowers’ connections to him would hurt Mowers in a GOP primary, Christie responded, “It is not going to succeed” as he swiped at Mowers’ GOP rival Karoline Leavitt.
Christie is a top Mowers supporter and his former boss. Christie and his wife hosted a major fundraiser for Mowers last September, giving nearly $12,000 to Mowers directly.

“In this fraught GOP primary, Matt Mowers is stuck between two toxically unpopular figures in Donald Trump and Chris Christie with nowhere to hide.” |
