Meehan Opposes Bipartisan Bill to Keep Government Open

Today Congressman Pat Meehan voted against the bipartisan bill to keep the government open and fund critical national priorities, including funding for 9/11 First Responders and women’s health. While a few of his neighboring Republicans voted to keep the government open, Congressman Meehan’s vote would have shut down the government and threatened national priorities.

“Though Congressman Meehan purports to be practical and responsible, his vote today shows his close alignment with the reckless factions of the Republican Party,” said Jermaine House of the DCCC. “Pennsylvanians deserve a representative who will vote to fund critical priorities like the 9/11 First Responders, not one who chooses partisanship over national priorities.”
