MEMO: GOP TRIFECTA IN WASHINGTON IS HISTORICALLY UNPRODUCTIVE

DCCC MEMORANDUM

Date: March 23, 2026
Subject: GOP TRIFECTA IN WASHINGTON IS HISTORICALLY UNPRODUCTIVE

As the American people sour on Republican rule in Washington over their many broken promises, including lowering the cost of living and ending foreign wars, a new report from MS NOW reveals that a major driver of their unpopularity is an historic level of Republican unproductivity.

Paralyzed by internal feuds, procedural rebellions from hardliners, and a President who thinks they are irrelevant, the GOP-led House is officially on track to be the most dysfunctional in modern history, leaving voters with more “broken promises” than actual policy solutions.

Bottom Line: Despite being in the minority, Democrats have led on issues that the American people care most about, including lowering health care costs and increasing accountability and transparency in government. In fact, Democratic-led discharge petitions have succeeded at twice the rate than Republican-led bills. The message is clear: vote Democrat in 2026 to get things done.
