Today – February 27th – is the day that MercyOne Ottumwa closes its doors.
Since Zach Nunn and Mariannette Miller-Meeks’ votes for the largest cuts to Medicaid in history, hospitals and health care clinics across Iowa have closed their doors, scaled down services, and laid off staff – “cit[ing] federal cuts.”
DCCC Spokesperson Katie Smith: “Zach Nunn and Mariannette Miller-Meeks gutted Medicaid and ripped funding from rural hospitals, and now Iowans are feeling the consequences. Nunn and Miller-Meeks are making the rural health care crisis even worse and voters will hold them accountable this November.”
