It’s no coincidence that after Rep. Mike Coffman earned the top spot as President Trump’s most loyal supporter in Colorado that he’s being rewarded with Trump’s campaign cash. According to the website FiveThirtyEight, Coffman surpassed Rep. Tipton as the member of Colorado’s delegation that votes with Trump the most in Washington, a whopping 95.6 percent of the time. Today it was reported that Mike Coffman is included in the list of Republicans who will receive thousands in donations from the Trump campaign.
“In 2016, Mike Coffman promised voters that he’d stand up to President Trump, but now he votes with him nearly 96 percent of the time in D.C.,” said DCCC spokesperson Rachel Irwin. “President Trump is rewarding Coffman with campaign cash for being his most loyal supporter in Colorado. By making President Trump’s ‘nice’ list, Coffman has shown he’s working for Trump in Congress, not Coloradans.”
